Once again this year, the Forest Glen Global Issues Group is supporting the organization Free the Children. FTC was started 17 years ago by 12 year old Craig Keilburger, in an effort to eliminate child labour. The Global Issues Group is planning an event called Freedom Week. This is an event initiated by FTC two years ago to celebrate fifteen years of the idealism of the founders of FTC. During this time, the organization has grown to help children locally and around the world to become free from poverty, exploitation, thirst, and disease.
