The Forest Glen Greening Committee needs your help…
The “Greening the Glen” initiative began with a critical look at our school grounds. There is great potential and we are planning an enhanced learning environment through outdoor classroom areas, natural gardens, forest groves for enhanced shade and play areas on our current school yard. Stay tuned for further information.
This big project has been broken into small tasks. Please consider where you can help. Help is needed in the following areas:
- contacting corporate sponsors (perfect opportunity for those who can’t volunteer during school hours)
- in-school fundraising campaigns
- planning Earth Week activities
- planting day
- front of school beautification (This group will meet Thursday April 2 at 10:30am and is looking for help with garden design)
This initiative will make a lasting impact on our school community, your help is needed.
