Greening the Glen welcomes you back to a new school year.

Many new changes have started in the Forest Glen school yard.  Have you checked out the outdoor classroom or the no-mow-zone yet?  We also have 15 new trees to bring more shade.

The new trees need your help! With this hot weather we need help with watering until the root systems are established.  Is your family able to volunteer for watering duty for one week?

The trees need to be watered every other day (outside of school hours).  A member of the “Green Team” will meet you on your first scheduled day to show you how to access the equipment and point out which trees need watering.  If it rains on a scheduled day, you do not need to go.  This opportunity is ideal for a family or a small group of neighbours.  The job takes about an hour.  There is a long hose which reaches half of the trees, the rest will need to be watered with the provided buckets.
