The New Hamburg Firebirds is once again asking for your help and continued support in their annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Over the last 7 years between the contributions at the Thanksgiving Friday Night’s hockey games and the collections from the students and their participating schools, over 20,000 lbs. of food have been donated to the Wilmot Family Resource Centre food bank. This couldn’t have happened without you!

The Firebirds always strive to do their best in giving back to the community and this is why this year we truly need all of you, more than ever, to be a huge part of our team to help us help the Wilmot Family Resource Centre food bank. Our mission is to make sure all tummies are full. Unfortunately due to attendance restrictions, there will be no free tickets handed out for the October 8 Friday night game, no students from the schools to help and no ambulance to fill. The Food Bank is in desperate need of your Help to fill the shelves! On Saturday, October 2 we are asking the community to bring non-perishable food donations to the Fire Stations in New Hamburg and Baden between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm.  We will also be at Sobeys and Nofrills on Saturday, October 2 from 10 am to 2 pm. I know with your support we can make this a Happy Thanksgiving for every family.
