“Toonies for Food4Kids Waterloo Region Tummies”

We Need Your Help.

Can you spare a Toonie? We are asking members of our school communities to help feed our hungry children by participating in our “Toonies for Food4Kids’ Waterloo Region Tummies” loose change drive taking place on Tuesday, November 30th, Giving Tuesday!

Please consider donating a Toonie (or two, or three!) through your child’s school to support these kids. We are currently providing nutritious weekend food bags to 870 school children living with chronic hunger. This past year has been difficult with COVID 19 and our Executive Director becoming ill and we now have 180 kids on the waiting list, and an additional 10 schools who we would love to add.  We really need your support!

•    Food4Kids Waterloo Region has been feeding children in Waterloo Region schools since 2016

•    We work with Waterloo Region school boards to nourish and support the children & their siblings

•    Severe food insecurity affects 2,500+ children age 1-14 throughout Waterloo Region.

•    Children living with chronic hunger often don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

•    Our mission is to provide access to quality food to last an entire weekend.

•    Food items are packed by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday morning.

•    Our program is 100% funded by community donors and one-time grants.
