Welcome back Falcons and caregivers to what I know will be another exciting school year at Forest Glen! My name is Sherry Lawlor Alexander and I am so excited to join this wonderful learning community as the new principal here at Forest Glen! I hope that all of our families have enjoyed their summer and that you were all able to enjoy some fun and relaxation with your family and friends. On behalf of all staff, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our students and their families. 

As you may already know, we use School Day as a method of communication to inform you of your child’s class placement prior to the first day of school. Over the past couple of days, we have worked to complete a plan that will allow you to find out your child’s classroom and teacher placement on the first day of school. You will be able to access your student’s class placement on School Day starting Monday!

When you and/or your student arrive on Wednesday morning, our staff will have signs to help you find your child’s class. There will be staff designated to assist our bus students find their teacher. 

If you are new to Forest Glen or you are not sure where the entry door for your student is located, you can inquire with designated staff members what homeroom your child is in and then be guided to their appropriate door for line up and entry. 

From the organized bright classrooms, to the gleaming hallways, to the carefully prepared first day activities, the staff have worked hard to create a learning environment that is welcoming and inviting for all of our students. And please save the date: ‘Meet the Staff’ Tuesday, September 10th from 6:00-7:30 pm!
