Pet ownership is a valuable educational experience for children. We recognize that dogs are an important part of life for some of our families, and, as such, they are often included in day-to-day activities such as walking children to and from school. However, we also recognize that dogs on school grounds can be a stressful experience for some people, even frightening, particularly for younger children. After having received some feedback from parents and caregivers, we are kindly reminding all dog owners, as per our policy in the Forest Glen Parent Handbook, that dogs are not allowed on the school grounds.
Thank you for supporting us in ensuring safety of school grounds for all students and families by keeping your dogs at home!
